The Area

There are an abundance of things to see and do in the area from visiting local towns and villages to getting out and about and walking down sandy beaches or just exploring the Galloway Forest Park, Britain's largest forest park and three hundred square miles of wild beauty just waiting to be explored.

The area has many varied outdoor activities to enjoy including falconry, mountain biking, endless walking and fishing on local lochs and rivers. We are also situated in the heart of ‘Red Kite country’ and the popular Red Kite Trial providing excellent opportunities to see these wonderful birds.
